Controller
About The Position
Gem Care Inc. is looking for a seasoned Controller to ensure that our client's financial activities adhere to all relevant regulations. The Controller will be responsible for developing and maintaining internal control systems and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the company’s financial reporting. This position is in the manufacturing industry and requires experience in this industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to the Finance team
- Perform risk analysis and assess internal controls related to financial reporting
- Ensure financial reports are accurate and comply with GAAP and other regulations
- Prepare financial reports and provide recommendations for improvement
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes
- Develop and maintain controls to ensure accuracy of financial data
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or equivalent
- Minimum of ten years of experience in a financial management role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, regulatory and corporate compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and accounting software
